Artist Statement
I believe that music is not merely a display of technique, but a profound expression of culture and emotion. The pipa, as a traditional Chinese instrument, embodies rich historical depth and poetic spirit, conveying meaning through sound and resonance.
Throughout my artistic journey, I have been committed to integrating tradition with contemporary expression—respecting classical heritage while exploring new musical possibilities. My goal is to present the pipa in ways that resonate with global audiences and transcend cultural boundaries.
As an educator, I emphasize that musical training is not only about technical mastery, but also about cultivating artistic sensitivity and character. Through teaching and performance, I strive to nurture musicians with both cultural confidence and an international perspective, contributing to the continued vitality of Chinese music worldwide.
