ABOUT US

Bridging Cultures, Sparking Creativity

The Asian Art Association Singapore is a non-governmental cultural organization based in Singapore, with a mission to foster the exchange, education, and social impact of Asian art across borders. Guided by the belief in "Bridging Cultures, Sparking Creativity.", we unite artists, curators, educators, and creative minds to build a cross-cultural, interdisciplinary, and intergenerational platform for artistic dialogue.

Since our establishment in 2018, we have organized a wide range of international competitions, exhibitions, lectures, and exchange programs across various art forms—including painting, music, dance, and design. Our footprint spans China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Thailand, and beyond. We have built lasting collaborations with art academies, museums, and international organizations to promote Asian culture on the global stage.

We believe art is more than an aesthetic expression—it is a catalyst for social progress. As a mission-driven institution, we actively integrate ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) values into our work. Through art, we aim to raise environmental awareness, express social care, and engage in civic participation. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we launched online art therapy programs for frontline workers and patients; during the Ukraine humanitarian crisis, we initiated creative fundraising campaigns to advocate for peace and global solidarity.

Our network includes world-class artists and rising talents such as Hong Kong cultural icon Chip Tsao, renowned Erhu professor Sun Huang of the Central Conservatory of Music, UK Royal Academy piano professor Dorian Leljak, Spanish National Dance Award winner Daniel Abreu, Cannes Lions winner Chathuranga Gamage, and Grammy-nominated Chinese-American musician Chen Jie Bing, among many others. Together, they collaborate with us in artist residencies, training programs, and global exhibitions—bringing Asian art to the world and into people’s everyday lives.

The Association’s work has received strong support from leaders in politics and culture. Public figures such as Singapore Members of Parliament Lim Wee Kiak and Anthea Ong, Malaysian MP Tan Hong Pin, Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an, Hong Kong Legislative Councillor James To Kun-sun, and Singaporean filmmaker Jack Neo have all expressed their support through speeches, letters, or video messages. Our work has also been featured in major media outlets including Lianhe Zaobao, South China Morning Post, People’s Daily, CNA, United Daily News, and more.

We are honored to collaborate with global institutions such as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Embassy of France in Singapore, Embassy of Ukraine in Singapore, Singapore Red Cross, National Parks Board, National Heritage Board, and the National Centre for Infectious Diseases, contributing to cultural diplomacy, social outreach, and public education.

The Asian Art Association Singapore welcomes artists, educators, students, and cultural supporters from all over the world to join us in shaping the diverse and vibrant future of Asian art.
