Dieer Hu, mezzo-soprano. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) in Vocal Performance from The Catholic University of America. Dedicated to the art of vocal music and opera performance, she holds a Master’s degree in Vocal Studies from the Longy School of Music of Bard College and a Bachelor’s degree in Opera and Vocal Arts from the China Conservatory of Music. Displaying exceptional musical talent, Dieer Hu has undergone rigorous training in both piano and voice, as a distinguished representative of vocal artists.

Blending the essence of Eastern and Western musical traditions, Dieer Hu continuously innovates in her vocal and theatrical pursuits, striving to make her mark on the global vocal stage. Her multilingual singing abilities allow her to masterfully interpret operatic works in Italian, German, French, and Chinese, demonstrating profound artistic expression. As an outstanding mezzo-soprano in the world of classical music, she captivates audiences with her passionate and authentic performances on opera and concert stages worldwide.

In January 2025, she was invited to join the Asian Art Association Singapore (Vocal and Singing).

Artistic Achievements

Dieer Hu actively participates in concerts and performances both in China and abroad. On the international stage, with her solid technical foundation and profound artistry, Dieer Hu has held multiple solo recitals in the United States and has performed and starred in numerous classic operas, portraying important roles in operas such as L’elisir d’amore, Die Zauberflöte, Serse and Norma, earning high acclaim from audiences and professionals alike. She has received multiple honors in international vocal competitions, including the Gold Prize at the 3rd Classical Music Award International Vocal Competition (U.S.), the Grand award at the 6th Apex International Music Competition (U.S.), and the Excellence Award at the National Peacock Cup Vocal Competition. Her exquisite vocal technique and stage presence have made her shine brilliantly on the international stage.

She was invited to perform at the First Beijing Corporate Social Responsibility and Public Welfare Forum in 2021 and the 2022 Hubei Satellite TV Spring Festival Gala for Disability and Health Integration, as well as the 7th “Save a Life” Youth Charity Concert organized by AYLUS in the United States in 2024, among others. Her music transcends the boundaries of language and culture, touching the hearts of countless listeners.

Music Education

Dieer Hu has also demonstrated outstanding achievements in the field of teaching. She currently serves as a vocal and piano instructor at a school in the United States and teaches various vocal techniques and performance arts in her private studio. Her teaching philosophy combines rigorous bel canto technique with individualized artistic expression, earning great admiration from both students and colleagues.
