\n\u2028DESCRIPTION: This artwork is a still life representing most of our lives in Covid-19. It consist a handphone displaying the Safe-Entry page which is something familiar to most of the people in Singapore in the time of Covid19. This is because of this new method of tracking our location. This helps with the tracking of Covid19 patients and getting the people that they were in contact with before they were diagnosed to get checked, avoiding further spread of the virus. There is also a styrofoam box which the handphone is leaning on- this portrays a point of time during Covid19 where there was a rule of no eating in and only take aways. I felt that a styrofoam box was a strong subject matter to represent this time during Covid19 as most Singaporeans enjoy going to coffee shops for food where the stall owners mainly pack take aways using styrofoam boxes. On the styrofoam box, there is a tape which has diagonal red and white stripes. This should be ring a bell in a cluster of people as this tape can be found anywhere. I chose to add this tape in my artwork as it stands out most in this artwork which is my intention. In my opinion, the tape in critical to this current situation and stands a part in fighting Covid19. Firstly, the tape in noticeable in any part of my country, representing where not to seat or stay. Additionally, this helps to fight Covid19 as most people would maintain the 2 meter distance in sight of the tape. The striking red I have painted in my artwork also represents danger which define how dangerous Covid19 can be and that people must genuinely do their part and help fight this deadly virus. Lastly, In my background, I chose a less distinct colour, off white or beige, so that the subject matters would stand out more.<\/p>\n
