Although Aldabra is protected by UNESCO, some of the tortoises struggle from ocean trash. Having conconcted an idea that presents the sustainable method of expressing the environmental problem, I used only recyclable material to create a wearable dress. This shows that recyclable material can be used as a resource to make refined, Ready-to-wear clothes that people can wear in their daily lives. While the gates and walls are surrounded by peaceful nature now, my mind conjures up scenes from history. I see bright skies and vibrant trees but also imagine the scenes of battle, of weapons clanging. I am awed at the memories Namhansanseong has and at the sheer number of people who have touched these posts before me. The title comes from the mindset that I want to \u201cstand by\u201d its historical role despite its secondary nature. However, due to the passage of time and natural factors, these cave paintings and sculptures have suffered varying degrees of damage and destruction, making it imperative for more people to pay attention to and protect them. After all the years, the building itself is still visible today. I used a dry brush and gently tap on the canvas to make the trees and also the leaves. And used the palette knife to make the mountains, and used normal paint brushes for the bridge and used thin brush for the details of the Great Wall. The reason why I chose the trees to be orange and red is because I want the viewer to feel comfortable, the colour represents the feeling of autumn fall, cold and relaxing. The first one is a depiction of Mount Everest, the highest mountain on Earth. As an adventurous person, I have always dreamt of climbing it, overcoming one of the world’s greatest challenges, and becoming one of the rare challengers who has reached the summit. Although I have yet to achieve this dream, I drew it out as a way to bring it one step closer to reality. The second one is a sketch completely drawn based on my memories of exploring my beloved hometown, Penang. I used only one pencil and kept the drawing black and white to express the island’s history and ancient taste fully. This is a small island where I have spent 95% of my life. Although it is small, there is so much to explore, and every time I venture out, I discover something new and impressive.
